I don’t photograph finished buildings. I document the act of building.

For over 24 years, I have worked at the intersection of architecture, time, and light

— capturing structures not only as completed objects, but as processes unfolding across months and years. My practice spans architectural photography, aerial imaging, and long-term timelapse documentation, with a body of work covering Korea’s most significant construction and development projects.
I began my career in architectural publishing — editing for Korea’s leading architecture and design magazines, including CONCEPT and MARU. That editorial background shaped how I see and communicate built work. In 2007, I founded Design Studio Yegam. In 2014, I integrated drone and timelapse into my practice — drawn to the idea that a building’s most compelling story is not its completion, but its becoming. In 2022, I co-founded Time Limit Inc., formalizing a specialization in architectural photography, aerial imaging, and timelapse production.

I work with Korea’s major developers, general contractors, public institutions, and hospitality groups. Through these partnerships, my work has reached global firms including OMA, RSHP, Arup, and Arcadis. My photography has been featured on ArchDaily.

“빛이 결정하는 자리에, 그저 서있을 뿐.”

저는 완성된 건물을 촬영하지 않습니다. 건물이 만들어지는 그 시간과 에너지 그리고 그 빛을 기록합니다.

24년 이상, 저는 건축과 시간과 빛이 교차하는 지점에서 작업해왔습니다. 완성된 결과물이 아니라, 수 개월과 수년에 걸쳐 전개되는 과정으로써의 건물을 기록합니다. 건축사진, 항공촬영, 장기 타임랩스 다큐멘테이션을 아우르는 저의 작업은 국내 주요 건설·개발 프로젝트 전반을 담아왔습니다.

저는 건축·건설 출판 분야에서 경력을 시작했습니다. 건물이 어떻게 보여지고 전달되는지에 대한 정밀하고 편집적인 시선을 키웠습니다. 2007년 디자인예감을 설립했고, 2014년 드론과 타임랩스를 작업에 통합했습니다. 건물의 가장 강렬한 이야기는 완성이 아니라 ‘되어가는 과정’이라는 생각에서였습니다. 2022년 (주)타임리미트를 공동 설립했습니다.

국내 주요 대형 건설사, 디벨로퍼, 공공기관, 호텔 그룹과 협업해왔으며, 이를 통해 OMA, RSHP, Arup, Arcadis 등 글로벌 건축·엔지니어링 펌의 프로젝트를 함께 수행했습니다. 제 사진은 ArchDaily에 소개된 바 있습니다.
